Sublimation on t-shirts is a printing process that uses heat to transfer dye directly into the fabric of the shirt. Unlike traditional printing methods that place ink on top of the fabric, sublimation dye becomes part of the fabric itself. This results in vibrant, durable, and long-lasting prints that don’t crack, peel, or fade over time. How Sublimation Works: Design Creation: A design is printed using sublimation ink onto special sublimation paper. Heat Transfer: The printed paper is placed on the t-shirt. Using a heat press (usually at ~375–400°F or 190–205°C), the design is transferred. Sublimation Reaction: Under high heat and pressure, the solid ink turns into a gas (sublimation). The gas penetrates the fibers of the shirt and bonds with the material at a molecular level.
